New bookstore hours & offerings
Our Holy Trinity Bookstore recently announced new hours. In addition to Sundays after Liturgy, the bookstore will also be open on Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The bookstore is also excited to announce that it will begin selling products produced by White Field Farm. White Field Farm is an all-natural home and body product company that offers employment and job training to women survivors of human trafficking. The company is run by a small community of Greek Orthodox nuns. Read their story below:
“When we began our sisterhood in 2009, we had a dream that we could find a way to offer support to local women. As we grew we began producing soap and candles to support ourselves. As our business grew, we learned about the epidemic of human trafficking in America and that it reaches every corner of every neighborhood. Women victims often end up in prison for prostitution or petty crimes, and once released have great difficulty finding stability and staying off the streets because they cannot find employment. In 2014 we officially launched White Field Farm as a social enterprise and pushed ourselves to become profitable enough to hire local women survivors and give them a chance to get on their feet. We hired our first survivor in March 2017 and our second in October 2017.We hope to continue growing and hiring as many women survivors as we can.” -Gerontissa Foteini and Sister Theonymphi, Founders of White Field Farm and The HOPE Project
The Bookstore will carry handmade soap bars, hand and body lotion as well as soy candles in a variety of scents. These make wonderful gifts for loved ones and friends, and you can feel great about spending your money to help such a worthy cause. Let’s work together to make Holy Trinity a great supporter of White Field Farm so they may continue their important work.
