Father Peter Kostakis named Holy Trinity's new Proistamenos

In a letter dated April 2, His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah communicated to our parish his decision to appoint Father Peter Kostakis to serve as Holy Trinity's new proistamenos. Father Peter had been serving as acting proistamenos since the departure of Father Christopher Constantinides last September.

At our parish's March general assembly meeting, the assembly voted to draft a letter to His Eminence expressing the parish's desire to see Father Peter appointed proistamenos. His Eminence referenced this letter in his communication to the parish. As His Eminence wrote:

Please know that I am most grateful to our Lord in allowing me to understand His will concerning the new proistamenos for your parish. Your letter helped me understand why I had not assigned a proistamenos until now. My pastoral visit last week and the many people with whom I spoke also convinced me that your request is in harmony with the many good things I heard. Congratulations on your new Proistamenos.

Congratulations, Father Peter!
