HCSD Greek Independence Day Events

The Hellenic Cultural Society of Dallas is pleased to announce two events to memorialize the 200 Years from the Greek Independence War of 1821. This is a special year in our Greek heritage. Our first event will be a showing for the movie EXODUS 1826 and a gathering with the Director of the movie Mr. Vasili Tsikaras.

The second event will be our main event: The Bicentennial of The Greek Revolution of 1821. The theme is: 200 Years of Greek Independence Challenges and Prospects. Join us and Mr. Lambros Kakissis, Consul of Greece in Houston for the event. The Keynote speaker will be Dr. Nikos Mihailidis, Professor of Anthropology at University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL).
