National Oratorical Festival Underwriting

Beloved Holy Trinity Parishioners,

This year our parish is blessed to host the 38th National Oratorical Festival on June 3-5th, 2022. It will be attended by His Grace Bishop Athenagoras of Nazianzus, who is representing His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.

Introduced in 1983, the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival provides Greek Orthodox teenagers the opportunity to write and talk about their faith. The Oratorical Festival Program begins at the parish level and culminates with the national finals.

The 18 finalists participate in a weekend of activities, the highlight of which is the delivery of their speeches on Saturday morning. The Oratorical Festival Scholarship Fund provides college scholarships to the top speakers. While the three top finalists will receive top scholarships, all finalists will also receive a scholarship for making it to the finals.

Along with the excitement for Holy Trinity being the center of such a wonderful event, comes the daunting realization: with the responsibility to organize a beautiful event comes the significant financial needs to support it. This requires the assistance of our parishioners to help with this.

We most humbly request that you will help financially support this wonderful event putting our parish in the national spotlight and allow Holy Trinity to be a magnificent host for our Greek Orthodox guests from parishes around the Archdiocese, the National Oratorical Festival committee, and His Grace Bishop Athenagoras.

If you would like to underwrite this wonderful event and opportunity for our parish, please click on the button below. Any amount is appreciated! Please submit your donations no later than Monday, May 30.

With appreciation and love in our Risen Lord,
The St. John Chrysostom National Oratorical Festival Host Committee
